MAPACS was created to:

1. To promote the art and science of Plastic Surgery
2. To co-ordinate the activities of Plastic Surgeons, encouraging the maintenance of very high standards. 
3. To represent plastic surgeons and protect their interests. 
4. To foster and promote co-operation and better understanding among plastic surgeons. 
5. To achieve liaison with similar bodies and other speciality bodies in Malaysia and in other countries.
